The Douglas and Myrna Townsend Bursary

Established by Douglas C. Townsend and awarded on the basis of financial need to an undergraduate student in the Faculty of Arts and Science.

The Douglas Arthur de Pencier Bursary

Established by the Estate of Mary Marlene Joan de Pencier in memory of her brother Douglas Arthur de Pencier. Awarded to students entering first year of any first entry undergraduate degree program. Geographic restrictions apply.

The Douglas D. Purvis Award

Established in memory of Douglas Purvis. Awarded on the basis of financial need and academic achievement to a student entering the third year of a B.A. program with a major, medial or minor concentration in Economics.

The Douglas D. Purvis Professorship of Economics

Established to help the Economics Department attract and retain first-rate faculty. The incumbent is expected to contribute to the Department through high standards of teaching, supervision of graduate students, research, and service to the University.

The Douglas Fretts Bursary

Established in memory of Douglas Fretts and Bruce Fretts. Awarded on the basis of satisfactory academic standing and need to an upper year student in Smith Engineering.

The Douglas H. Clark and Bonney G. Clark Memorial Scholarship

Awarded on the basis of academic excellence to funding-eligible Master's or Ph.D. level students enrolled in Political Studies. Preference to students whose research is related to federal/provincial relations in Canadian politics.

The Douglas Hargreaves Memorial Athletic Award

Established in memory of Doug Hargreaves, B.A. 1960, LLD 2012. Awarded on the basis of academic achievement and athletic excellence to student-athletes in any degree program, who are on the competition roster of a Gaels interuniversity athletic team.

Established by the class of Law'76 in memory of the late Douglas Melvin Traill, BA'73 (UBC), LLB'76, awarded on the basis of financial need.

Established to pay salaries for a small group of upper year students in Smith Engineering hired to tutor first year.
