The Dr. Ben Finkelstein and Family Bursary
Established in memory of Ben Finkelstein, Med'41, and in honour of family members who presently attend Queen's University, by his wife Eve (Zbar) Finkelstein, Arts'42. Awarded on the basis of need to a student in their fourth year of Medical School.
The Dr. Bill and Barbara Leacy Medical Student Bursary
Established by the family of Dr. Bill Leacy, M.D. 1960, and Barbara Leacy, B.A. 1957. Awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need to undergraduate students in any year of the School of Medicine in the Faculty of Health Sciences.
The Dr. Bruce Cronk Distinguished Lecture Series
Established by Wayne Simmons, PhmB '47 U of T, and Dr. Bruce Cronk, M.D. 1946, to support the costs associated with bringing visiting scholars to bring special expertise in all areas of Medicine, Nursing and Rehabilitation Medicine.
The Dr. Bruce McCreary Developmental Disabilities Fund
Established in memory of Dr. Bruce McCreary, to support medical/graduate/post graduate students or post graduate fellows in the Faculty of Health Sciences undertaking work on research or scholarly initiatives in the area of Developmental Disabilities.
The Dr. Christopher Lui Memorial Research Award
Established in memory of Christopher Lui, MD 2006, to provide financial assistance to a Cardiology resident or fellow in the School of Medicine, with preference given to a resident or fellow focused on the advancement of congenital heart research.
The Dr. Clair Johnston Locke Memorial Bursary
Established from the estate of Helen Audrey Locke in memory of her husband, Dr. Clair Johnston Locke, Meds'35, and awarded on the basis of financial need to students in the School of Medicine in the Faculty of Health Sciences.
The Dr. Claude H. Vipond Award
Established by Dr. Jayant Lele in honour of Claude Hibbert Vipond, M.D.'44. Awarded on the basis of financial need and academic excellence to a student in the Development Studies Program, to participate in the work study program.
The Dr. D. Laurence Wilson Award
Established by Dr. Paul W. Armstrong, MD'66, in honour of Dr. D. Laurence Wilson, MD'44. The award will be provided to a faculty physician who best exemplifies the attributes of the profession that graduating class members aspire to emulate.
The Dr. David M. Robertson Memorial Visiting Lectureship
Established in memory of Dr. David M. Robertson, MD'55, MSc'60, to bring speakers on the topic of recent advances in nervous system diseases to the Department of Pathology and Molecular Medicine.
The Dr. David Mok Memorial Fund
Funds have been donated by the family and friends of Dr. David Mok to be used to support educational experiences for the Residents in Ophthalmology at Queen's University. The funds will be dispersed at the discretion of the Head of the Department
